This is one of those "I wish I could give more than 5 stars" reviews. It will be a bit lengthy, but I hope that others might benefit from my experiences.
When we purchased our Napa home (and before I knew about Bill Wood at California Security Pro Napa), we chose ADT because of their national reputation, and also because they were the company the seller had been using. I (naively) assumed that all ADT "authorized" dealers were the same in regards to equipment, prices and business practices. So I just googled ADT Napa and picked the first "authorized" dealer that came up. BIG mistake.
Basically, the ADT rep/installer who came out (NOT from a local Napa company) was a salesman who was out to make a buck. They will give you a "teaser" offer over the phone, and of course you can expect to pay more based on your home's configuration--I just had no idea how much more. He misled us, then upsold us the new equipment he said we needed, at a huge markup. I'm usually very thorough about researching prices, reviews, etc. but we were overwhelmed with so many other aspects of our move that I didn't do my usual due diligence.
The next day: enter Bill Wood of California Security Pro ADT based in Napa. He introduced himself and his company, and when I told him that I already a system, he inquired about it. When he discovered how much I had paid and that we had replaced an existing system that might have still been operational, he was absolutely outraged. He explained that he would have evaluated the existing system and what he would have charged for a new one. I realized that I had been taken advantage of and how much I had grossly overpaid.
I asked Bill what I could do at this point (and I was actually very happy with the system itself). Bill thoroughly explained how I could exercise my three-day right to cancel, and also that I could speak to the ADT corporate office about my experience. I decided to do both.
Long story shorter--they refunded half my purchase price and I kept my new system. Bottom line: Bill Wood, who did not make a penny out of all of this, saved me a LOT of money because he is an ethical, dedicated professional who cares about
his community and the reputation of his company.
He is honest, thorough, knowledgeable and incredibly helpful (he came over and helped clear up a system error message at no charge, on a system he didn't even install, Thanksgiving Eve!)

Hector Hurtado was the install technician, and I can't imagine a better one is out there. These guys are pros. Paying for security systems isn't exactly the most desirable thing for most people, but the combo of Bill and Hector, we're pretty happy. We recently had Bill Wood introduce us to The ADT Security system after having another system installed in our home for 20 years. After many requests for repair and information, we decided it was time to get updated. We found Bill to quickly respond to our request for a quote, especially since we live in Discovery Bay and he came down from Napa that same day. We called Bill from a fiend's reference who lives in Napa and were very pleased with Bill's presentation. He was very detailed and thorough and showed us all their options available. Bill arranged to have an installer come out within days for the complete installation. The installer was Carl out of Brentwood with a very friendly explanation of all details required to show us how the full system works. We just took a week vacation and were assured and comfortable to know all was safe and secure. After our house was burglarized, we set on the urgent task of getting an alarm system. After some quick research, we thought ADT looked to be the best candidate, but we wanted to talk to some competitors too. We called a leading company and couldn't get an appointment scheduled with the rep. When I called ADT, I spoke directly with a real live person who got me an appointment the same day and after 6p, so that my husband wouldn't have to miss work. Bill Wood arrived right on time, and spent over two hours with us listening to what happened during the burglary, asking us what we wanted and explaining what he could do. Truly professional and he arranged for our system to be installed right away. ADT has some pretty trick systems for a competitive price. Certainly not the lowest price in town but, like they say, you get what you pay for. The installer Patrick was also a great guy. He really listened to what we wanted. Gave great advice about where to put things and took his time explaining the system to us so we felt comfortable with it. Best of all, both Bill and Patrick gave us their direct cell phone numbers to call them if we have any problems. So now we're breathing much easier in our very secure home with the added (entertaining) bonus that we're able to see what our dog does while we're at work.

"Incredible"What an experience! Called on Wednesday, Bill showed up on Thursday morning at 9 am and it was all done by noon, with no pressure sales. Multiple cameras outdoors, doors protected, airspace/motion protected, smoke and heat sensor/alarm, glass breakage protected and all is wireless. We have remotes for our key-chains, access through computer and smart phones and 2 iPad-type portable screens so we can mount one in the kitchen, to view from all cameras, and one we can take upstairs to bed or out to garage or wherever if we are working around the property. I was expecting 5-10 thousand for this type of set up and it was just over $1500 complete. $60/month to monitor. Can't beat that for all we received and such peace of mind. Bill was incredible and was so willing to give extra time and products for a fraction of their retail price. If you are interested in getting a home security system, call Bill either first or last...trust me, you will go with his product and company! I did the footwork and am glad I called CSP!

Install alarms or sensors, on windows and doors, five in total, also smoke/heat communicator. Have control panel that is very logical to operate and also have key pad. All together installation was less than two hours and he provided lots of information along the way. It went very well. He was not rushed and as I stated explained everything as he went along.

Arriving home one afternoon to find our house had been burglarized, we decided to install an alarm system. Bill Wood contacted us and scheduled an appointment the very next day. The new systems are very compact, easy to understand and operate. Bill knew I was anxious to get the system installed and he scheduled the installation for that weekend. I wanted an alarm for my place in Rohnert Park. During my research I found two competing security systems, ADT and FrontPoint Security Systems. I really looked at the pluses and minuses between these two systems, both highly rated by consumer and professional reviews. The difference was really Bill Woods from California Security Pro ADT Authorized Dealer from the NAPA office. Mr. Woods met me at my new place and we discussed just what system was needed to secure my home. He did not try to sell me extra stuff that I really did not need. He was straight up and frank about what a good security system should have. Front Point's selling points were very compelling, Bill recognized that. He was able to work with me and came through with what I deemed a very competitive package for a very good system from ADT. Bill convinced me that the new ADT Pulse system was a cut above the competitors plus the company is a security company first and foremost, hence their expertise is on security. I also liked the fact that a professional installer will be installing my system. I know I can install a do it yourself kit but at the end of the day, I really wanted a pro to set the entire system up from the ground up. Jesse, the ADT installer, was on time. He was very thorough and completed installing the system at the scheduled time. He took the time to make sure that the system layout was what I wanted before he proceeded with the installation. Once completed, he really took the time to explain everything, very patient. He made sure that everything was put away, leaving the place clean, no messy installation. Bill made sure that the system was up and running flawlessly from follow up phone calls. It's been over a month since my ADT system was installed and I've been very pleased with the performance so far. The mobile application works as designed. I can manage my system remotely and friends are quite amazed with its capabilities.

I called ADT (California Security Pro) for our home in Napa - very reluctantly due to my prior interactions with ADT (corporate) in the East Bay. But I disliked my experience with Comcast's home security service even more than I disliked ADT, so I took a leap of faith. And then I met Bill. Bill is prepared, knowledgeable, honest, and trustworthy. His no-haggling approach to the cost was refreshing. I normally will take many days to think about my decision but with Bill, I knew right on the spot I would do business with him. He did not have "scope creep" and only recommended what was really necessary for my security needs. He was able to schedule my install within days. He was very good about setting my expectations about how much time the install would take given the 1) nature of my house and 2) the extent of the equipment I ordered. The install of the ADT system was flawless! It was lengthy, but Bill warned me it would be. On a side note, on my home in the East Bay, Comcast came out 3 times for the install and was never even able to get started. And ADT (corporate) in the East Bay quoted me 4x the cost for a home security install, even though we were working with a VP at the company. I am very pleased with my ADT system for my home in Napa. I use my iPad daily to monitor activity and I also use it to occasionally admit people into my home. I was so happy with Bill's customer service that I recommended him to my immediate neighbor and she had her system installed last week. How is that for an NPS (net promoter) score!

Bill Wood came to our house and helped us set up our ADT security system. At first we weren't quite sure if we wanted home security. He did a fantastic job explaining in detail how the system works, and he answered all our questions and concerns. The actual installation was done by Jessie (set up by Bill), and went very smoothly. Jesse also took time to explain how everything works. After the installation, Bill came over that evening to check in on us and to make sure everything was fine and to see if we had more questions (which we did). He also taught us a few "short cuts" which we found very helpful. All in all, service was excellent and top notch. We feel very secure in our new home, and we feel taken care of by Bill. He is quick to respond with helpful information. We highly recommend him.

We've had terrific service with Bill Wood and ADT. Been a customer for several years. A small problem with a sensor and Bill was over personally right away to fix it himself. And ADT's Pulse system allows us to monitor remotely, especially with 2 systems. Didn't think it could be this easy or helpful. And we can intervene with the rare false alarm before the PD is called. Just terrific and makes us at ease whether we are home or on the road.

We just our security system installed at our home. Bill Woods presentation was so good we called one of our friends who was considering an alarm and they jumped on board as well. Jessie was our installer, was fast, clean, and very clear on all of the instructions. Bill also followed up with us that same night to make sure everything worked out to our expectations. We signed up with Bill on a Tuesday night and the next morning as I was loading up my truck, we had a break in down the street where the homeowner walked into the house with the intruder coming down the stairs. We were able to detain the subject until the police arrived , but made me think our decision to get an alarm was the right choice in these economic times. I would recommend Bill to anyone that was thinking about an alarm system.

Once installed, my system had to be tweaked a handful of times due to my 4 cats, but Bill helped us through it all. The technicians were always polite, but sometimes it seemed hard for them to adhere to their scheduled times (i.e. running late, running over) but overall they did an excellent job.

My husband suggested we look into purchasing a security system for our home. I remembered that a friend of mine had one installed some time ago. One day I asked her about it and she showed me how it works. I was impressed at how easily it was for her to operate. She told me to give Bill Wood a call. She really liked him and said we would also. The next day I called Bill and booked an appointment. He arrived right on time and we sat down, and got acquainted. He is so friendly and easy to talk to. He told us all about how the system works. He showed us the one he had with him, and went over all that it can do. After he had answered our many questions,we went from room to room in the house and he discussed what he thought we needed. He is so knowledgeable about this system. We felt he was honest in his opinions and ideas for the security of our home. We at no time felt pressured to buy. We were certain that what he suggested was ideal for our needs. Once again we sat down and began the paperwork and it was painless. It didn't take long to complete. Bill called and booked an installation date for us. Two days later Jesse, the installer arrived and a little over an hour later it was installed. He went over every detail of operation with us. He also was patient, friendly and answered all of our questions. Believe me, Bill and Jesse are patient men! I for one always have a lot of questions. They never seemed to mind. Bill came to our home a few days after installation to check everything out. He went over and reviewed the operation of the equipment with us once more to make sure we knew exactly how to work every feature, and that we are comfortable with it. He told us to call him if we had anymore questions. We feel we could call Bill with any need or question. He's like a new friend. How often do you get that kind of service in this busy world. We were inundated with calls from ADT agents around the country after we moved. Fortunately our broker had just moved house and he recommended Bill Wood who came to the house to give a recommendation. I had met Bill over a year ago on a cold call to the house. He was very hepfull and knew is product very well. At that time I had another system that was woking fine so did not want to change it at that time. WE have been having a few false alarm in the past weeks. I called the company that put in the system they said it would be $300.00 just to come out and look and repairs would be extra. They also said many parts not available for my system anymore! These guys are great. Bill came to our house to give his presentation and was so patient with all of our questions (we are a multigenerational household with 6 adults, each with differing needs). He ended up spending hours at our house on a Monday evening until all our concerns were answered and we had picked the perfect system for our needs. The paperwork took only a few minutes and Bill gave us a great deal. HE scheduled the installation for a few days later. The guy who came was nice, but not all the equipment we needed was available. I emailed Bill, who made sure that we were scheduled to have the installation completed immediately. Jesse, the technician who came to finish the installation was wonderful - he spent ample time giving me a tutorial on how the system worked and he made adjustments to the system so it was perfectly tailored to our needs. They are knowledgable, friendly, honest and treat their customers like family (Bill even helped to convince us that a certain extra feature WAS NOT necessary for our home, thus saving us money). I will definitely recommend these guys to our neighbors, family and friends.
