1. What is different about the new version of the ADT Pulse App?

There are a couple of key differences in this version of the Pulse App:

  • Improvements to app performance,
  • Tips and FAQs to help answer your questions,
  • Personalize your dashboard just the way you want it.

As always, the app makes it easy to manage your system from anywhere and at anytime.  If you are new to the system or new to the app, you'll find it's super easy to use. Enter your Pulse user name and password that was set up for your on-line account and then select United States. You then can set up a pin to make logging in quicker in the future.

You will then be taken to your new customizable dashboard. You can set up the dashboard to see the things you want to see first. If you have ADT Pulse cameras, you can swipe and go through the different cameras right in your dashboard. 

The new version of the Pulse app gives you more ways to manage your home while on the go. The release did coincide with an update that caused some problems. Deleting the app and re-loading has resolved the issues in most cases.

2. When will the new ADT Pulse App be available for my iOS device?

ADT Pulse customers can now upgrade to the new version of the ADT Pulse App from the iTunes App Store®.

 

3. Will the new ADT Pulse App automatically download on my iOS device?

Yes, if you have automatic updates enabled, then the new version will automatically download and override the existing Pulse App.

 

4. What Apple OS does the new ADT Pulse App support on iOS?

Users with OS 9-10 will be able to update the new ADT Pulse App.

 

5. When will the new ADT Pulse App be available for my Android device?

ADT Pulse customers can now upgrade to the new version of the ADT Pulse App from the Google Play®.

 

6. Will the new ADT Pulse App automatically download if I have an Android device?

Yes, if you have automatic updates enabled, then the new version will automatically download and override the existing Pulse App.

 

7. Which Android OS does the new ADT Pulse App support?

Users with Android OS 4.4 - 7 will be able to download the new ADT Pulse App.

 

8. How do Android 2.0/3.0 users access ADT Pulse from their mobile device?

  • Android 2.0/3.0 users have several options:  

    1. Continue using the ADT Pulse App that they currently have on their phone or tablet.

    2. Access the web portal at https://portal.adtpulse.com *Note: There are limitations with this solution. For example: Video and thermostats will not display properly. In addition, this web site will show the "Old" Pulse user interface.  

    3. Access the mobile portal at https://mobile.adtpulse.com.

 

9. What happens if a user deletes the old version of the ADT Pulse App from their phone? Can they reinstall the old version?

No. Once a user deletes the existing ADT Pulse App from their phone after the new version is launched, there is no way to download it again. The old Pulse App will no longer be available from the app store.

 

10. Why did ADT remove voice control?

We are working on better ways of incorporating voice in the Pulse App in the future. Currently we have the option to use Amazon Alexa to control your system with your voice. Once you enroll with Alexa, you will not need to log into your Pulse App to control your system through your voice.
