What Does the ADT Portal do for You?

So you've just installed your ADT Pulse System or you are about to make the investment and you want to know exactly what the ADT Pulse portal will do for you. Well get prepared for massive awesomeness!

What has got to be the best part of your personalized web portal is how it guides you through the process and continues to make suggestions on how to get the most out of your system. Not like a set up wizard that does a basic set up for you (although it does do that too!) but suggestions on the side bar to make your system do the hard lifting for you. Say you log in to inspect your videos religiously. It might propose the ides of having text and email notifications automatically sent to you for all surveillance events. ADT Home Security has been steadily securing it's spot in the Home Automation arena. A new partnership with Nest Laboratories adds a new dimension to the ever expanding smart home scene. In 2010 ADT Pulse offered the first home security / home automation platform for the mass market. This partnership with Nest offers what is hopefully the first of many after market items slated for integration to an existing Pulse system for use with new installs.

Like most Earth shattering technology news, ADT made these announcements to its loyal fans and curious onlookers alikeat the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2015) in Las Vegas where 170,000 curious consumers were invited to swing by the booth and experience it live.

If you aren't aware, CES is where the biggest tech news of the year is announced. Where you and I can experience and participate in life size demonstrations of all things cutting-edge. The ADT Home Security Booth continued to impress, proving that a smart home is a safe home. With a full blown ADT Pulse Security and Home Automation system, representatives used voice-prompts to command lights to dim, doors to lock, thermostats to cool, and alarm system to spring to life. A respectable amount of the 170,000 attendees dropped by to check it out; when all was said and done, TIME reviewed ADT's Pulse system as one of the 6 coolest Smart Home Innovations at the show.
