Don't buy anything without checking reviews!

Now that is some GREAT advice. We live in a world where Hollywood has oozed into every area of life. Just check out the super-bowl. Well, the commercials anyhow.

Who could forget the 9 year old in 1979 that got a sweaty jersey from Mean Joe Green after giving him a coke. Or, In 2012 when a young "Darth Vader" finally summons the force to start the all new Volkswagon Passatt. Now we all want to drive down the street, wind in our hair, drinking a Coke Classic out of the nice glass bottle. 

BUT, how do we know coke is good. If you're an injured athlete hobbling out of the stadium, is coke really the refreshing oasis you want. Is the Passat a lemon? The commercials don't  tell you that, they scream, "FALL IN LOVE! LET ME PULL AT YOUR WALLET-STRINGS," i mean...  "HEARST STINGS." There are some lemons out there with some might impressive commercials and fancy sounding credentials.

As you already know, reviews are written by real people like you and me, that went before us and bought a Passat (great car from what I hear,) or in this case, they got a surveillance system and want you to know exactly what they thought about the equipment, the installer, the gal who answered the phone when they called... or didn't. Reviews are your chance to test drive a product without leaving your couch or opening your wallet.

Having had a negative experience with a competitor, we were leery of the whole security business. Dorelle was incredibly responsive, friendly, and really took her time explaining what she recommended and why. It's clear that she's passionate about home security, and ensuring that her customers are EXTREMELY well taken care of.

The positive experience continued when Pat came to install our system. Never have I met a more professional, patient, and knowledgeable installer. In all cases he went above and beyond, and truly made us feel like the system was being installed correctly the first time. He walked us thru using our system and we haven't had any issues sense.

I am so pleased with my new system as opposed to another company's that didn't provide nearly the protection I now have.   Excellent customer service from office staff, Kyle and Carl.  Kyle was great in explaining the system and my different options.  Installer, Carl, was efficient, knowledgeable, did a great job of cleaning up and explaining how the system works.  I highly recommend them. ( ADT Pulse system with 2 Cameras and Home Automation)

These guys are extremely customer focused.  I was paying $25 a month for monitoring services for a 20 year old alarm system that was tied into my home phone. We dumped our home phones because they are just a waste of money and only use our cell phones these days so the old alarm system didn't work anymore.  The old alarm company wanted $700 to put a new cellular pad in the house and it had nowhere near the bells and whistles I get with ADT.

I now have the $59 a month service from ADT and they used all my old door and window detectors which is a very large number that are hardwired in so that is great.  Kyle, my sales rep explained all of this to me and he was great through the whole process. Pat, the installer came by today to install the system - he was awesome - knows his stuff inside and out, was pleasant, and efficient.  For the $99 I upgraded to cellular, got a motion detector, a camera, another wireless detector for the wine cellar, a lamp switch, and the alarm can be armed and disarmed from one of 4 places:

1) The downstairs keypad
2) The upstairs keypad
3) A key fob - this is great for walking the dog - go out the back door and arm the whole house with a press of a button
4) My cellphone - the ADT Pulse App from the App Store works great.  I can see what is going on on the camera, arm the house from NY if I want, set up a vacation schedule so the lamp goes on and off at certain times while I am on vacation.

I needed a new system anyway, and if I think about some of the things we spend money on, an extra $35 a month for great safety, piece of mind, convenience, flexibility, and state of the art technology was an easy decision for me.

ADT has good technology but the real difference maker here is California Security Pro.  These things can get complicated and having a great dealer that is first class from the sale through to the install deserves a review like this .  Not easily impressed but was today.

Ask for Paul D if you want a security consultant who is professional, thorough and knowledgeable. I had no idea there were so many ways we had unwittingly set our selves up to be victimized.Paul gave me a lot of great useful information about how to safeguard our home and didn't try to oversell. LOVE the technology and efficiency of our new security system. The remote access always works and the cameras help us monitor the delivery of packages. For installation ask for Hector - he's articulate, fast and meticulous. I have pets and small children so it is critical that nails, wires and debris are not left behind. He was extremely patient and thoughtful when explaining the system. What a nice change from past experiences with contractors.

I started the process of upgrading my 23-year-old hard-wired home alarm system with maximum trepidation. The house situated in the Oakland Hills is fairly large with wrap-around decks and frankly a nightmare to provide maximum security. The company that did the initial instillation 23 years ago concurred: Despite multiple phone calls, they failed to send someone for an upgrade review and never followed up with my phone calls.

I had the great fortune of being referred to California Security Pro by my State Farm insurance agent. My good fortune continued with meeting up with the East Bay business manager, Fish Araya. This gentleman promptly returned my phone call, set up a home inspection within 48 hours. He was punctual, courteous, professional, and efficient. We were able to put together a system that piggy-backed on my hard-wired system and added 3 cameras for 24 -hour, motion triggered and real-time PRN monitoring.

The 24-hour monitoring is provide by ADT, the national company. The best is yet to come. When I had concerns about the initial installation plan, Fish showed up with the installer who did a bang-up job. The installer, named Carl, was quiet, extremely knowledgeable, courteous and went the extra mile: he swapped my old motion detectors for cameras (wiring was still in place), set up wireless motion detectors all over the house, placed an additional window sensor in a crucial location (the wireless pulse technology allows you to add multiple devices through a home wi-fi system) and connect all this to the internet for remote monitoring.

Carl also did some rewiring of my crawl space (under less than idyllic conditions, I might add) connect the alarm box to the netgear modem/router. As if this were not enough, he reprogrammed all 30 old and new stations (including fire sensors) and took the time to show me how I could monitor my system on the web through my computer or app for my phone. Everything is working perfectly.Bravo Fish and Carl. You are the best. Also kudos to California Security Pro and ADT. One last thing: Fish provides fabulous post installation service! The past few months our neighborhood, and surrounding neighborhoods have been experiencing a rash of home invasions; front doors are kicked in and robbers are assaulting families at gunpoint-this brazen behavior made me really nervous.I reached out to my neighbor (who recently had their alarm go off accidentally), he said I've got ADT and I have been pleased... We immediately Yelped, found California Security Pro., read Brandon's glowing reviews and I was able to get an appointment the same day and set up an install within the week! The glowing reviews for Brandon Tomas and California Security Pro were TRUE.

Throughout the process Brandon was extremely patient with my numerous questions of "Why and Why Not's" I had already prepared a list of things before he arrived. He was knowledgeable, and gave me a customized system that worked with our families lifestyle/traffic pattern, and on top of that he worked within my budget. On the day of install, Jesse arrived and was extremely helpful, he arrived on time and did not make me feel rushed with my questions throughout the process.

Jesse went beyond by offering additional suggestions for use/operation of products; i.e. camera, exterior alarm, position/locations for optimum value. He left me his direct number "just in case"! Several days later Brandon came by after our install as he had promised to follow up with us, we added an additional keypad at the front door, for convenience. We are 100% satisfied with California Security Pro, from start to finish Brandon and Jesse exceeded our expectations, in a day when Customer Service usually means a call overseas. I have already recommended Brandon to neighbors on "nextdoor.com" and several clients. We definitely feel safer, Monday night was our first night with the ARMED STAY!

"These guys are great, we feel extremely secure, Ca Security Pro are incredibly."

Kyle (district manager) came to our house the day after we had a forced-entry burglary and set us up with a great security system. Hector and Carl were our installers, and they couldn't have been better. There was a problem during the installation with connection to our wireless computer system, but the problem turned out to be on our end (our AT&T dsl internet was very spotty and slow). We immediately bought a new cable modem for our wireless system, and switched over to Comcast cable internet, which solved the problem. Meanwhile, Hector patiently worked with me to try to solve the issue, eventually having to come back a second day to install the cameras. Bottom line: these guys are great. But if you're planning on getting a wireless Pulse system (which we love!) with cameras that feed through to your cell phone, make sure you have a strong, uninterrupted wireless internet connection (cable yes, AT&T no). Between the Pulse system and new security doors, we feel extremely secure. Ca Security Pro are incredibly knowledgeable and professional people, and they did a great job for us.

"I have not encountered this level of customer service before -- ever."

BrandonTomas came to my home this past Wednesday, in the late morning. My installation was completed yesterday, on Friday, by Hector.

In this day and age it is virtually impossible to have anyone come to your home by appointment for anything without having to wait at least a week!! And the service provided by both of these gentlemen was absolutely unparalleled. Brandon was incredibly polite, professional, and enthusiastic about providing me with additional peace of mind knowing that my family and my home would be more secure. He visited on the day of the installation while it was in process, and came back again when it was completed to make sure I knew how to operate the system and that I was satisfied with my purchase.

I have not encountered this level of customer service before -- ever. Brandon was truly the best, in every sense of the word. Hector was my installer and again, the service he provided was outstanding. There was a system installed in this home prior to my purchase, and nearly every window and door in the entire house was wired. Hector took the time to carefully ensure that each connection was identified and accurately represented in the new ADT system, upgraded my system software, installed new keypads, new fire/smoke detectors, and additionally added motion sensors and cameras where I needed them.

He worked until 10 PM, determined to get the job done... correctly and to my satisfaction. Again, this type of customer service does not exist anymore. Outstanding work, Brandon and Hector. 5+ Stars for both. I would refer anyone to California Security Pro, both for their product and for the service provided y professionals like Brandon and Hector, who represent the company to consumers here in the Bay Area.

I highly recommend this pulse system with camera. Jonathan Delgado was a great rep! He is very detailed and he walked us through the process. He helped me sign up for a pulse system without delay and when I had to make a last-minute change to the pulse system with the camera, on the day of the installation, he made sure that I was happy and was delivered the system that I really wanted. He made things possible. Kyle(Pat), the technician or installation engineer, was great, too. He did not leave till everything was up and running. It was an excellent experience!
