"They were excellent ."
I had shopped around for security systems, and I was interested the most in the Angie's List deal that CA Security Pro offered. The sales guys came and did a fantastic job - they looked around the house to see what we would need (or want), gave us a good deal for pricing. We were not intending to purchase that day, but they gave us such a good deal (based on what I had seen to that point) that we couldn't say no. They were excellent sales reps. We got more than the Angie's List deal offered, but they still gave us a good price for what we were buying (based on their sales rates that they carry around with them). We set up the install, and when that happened, I couldn't have been more impressed with how everything went. The installer came in, put everything in efficiently (and correctly), and thoroughly explained the system to me. He was patient with any questions and did not act like it was a burden to explain the system or any random questions I had. In short, at every level, we have been treated as I think those in customer service should always treat potential (and current) customers. I was very happy to have gone with CA Security Pro and would recommend them to anyone. I think with alarm companies these days, you are going to get a lot of the same services, but what matters to me is that I am treated well. I expect to have a quality security system (which I think I got), but it means something when people are respectful and kind and helpful.

"I am giving the company an "A" rating."
I had been with a competing security company for many years. I had no complaints and thought that we would simply re-install their system after a fire occurred in our house that destroyed about 25% of the hard wiring and that required a complete replacement of the control box, all keypads and many of the smoke and motion detectors. After a few months of dealing with my former company regarding the details of the rewiring and equipment replacement, my frustrations with their lack of responsiveness, uncoordinated sales and service departments, unclear and shifting cost estimates (after relying on the original estimate for my insurance claim) and general rudeness drove me to consider other alternatives. I did a pretty thorough investigation of reviews on Angie’s List and other similar sites. I interviewed three of the firms with the most favorable reviews, including California Security Pro. The other two firms were small firms with some fairly impressive aspects to their services and systems and with some very loyal customers. However, I was impressed from the outset with the professionalism of California Security Pro and the clarity with which they explained the various options. I also liked the fact that they have a large, redundant monitoring facility, they use widely respected ADT equipment and that they seem to be moving aggressively into home automation with their “ADT Pulse” system. I also liked the fact that they actually sell rather than rent the equipment and that they have a relatively short contract (2 years) which renews on a month-to-month rather than annual basis. In addition, California Security Pro did a good job of following up frequently to see if their sales representative was providing the service I needed. Having gotten off to a good start, I was hopeful that the complications that would inevitably arise from the timing and construction requirements incident to the restoration of our house would go equally smoothly. Unfortunately, initially they did not. The sales representative was on vacation during a crucial time period, and the combination of some of the wiring having been done by another company and some additional work needing to be done during the course of construction and before the actual installation and activation of the service seemed to throw him off balance. At one point he explained that we were dealing with ADT and there simply wasn’t any flexibility in how they could approach the project. I sent a rather strongly worded email to California Security Pro and fortunately they got Kyle Madison, their District Manager, involved. My experience from that point on couldn’t have been better. While we are still not to the point where we can install and activate all of the equipment, and thus I can’t give a definitive rating at this point, Kyle and the service technician, Pat, have been so responsive and helpful that I wanted to provide a preliminary rating and review of the company in view of this experience. Kyle made a real effort to understand our needs and was instrumental in getting Pat lined up to come out, assess our situation and do the preparatory work that we needed to have done before walls got closed up and the construction work progressed too far. Pat was very knowledgeable and flexible in meeting our somewhat unique needs, and both he and Kyle made sure that we were happy with their service. I am looking forward to Pat’s final installation and activation of the system and to exploring some of the advantages of the Pulse home automation system. In the meantime, I am giving the company an "A" rating, with confidence that now that things are going so well, the remaining work will, too.

" Joy to work with."
Both the Field Manager/Sales Rep (Ryan) and Technician (Jeremy) were punctual, arriving at or before the agreed upon times. Ryan was very personable and knowledgeable about the various options available to me and did not promote one over the other. He let me make my own choice based on the information he provided. Since I'm a "geek" I went with the upper-end package that included wireless connectivity to ADT, monitoring via my PC or Smartphone and the key fob (love it!!). Jeremy was a joy to work with since installation does require a bit of "owner" participation. He made suggestions regarding placement of keypad and motion sensor, was very diligent in making sure that wiring for the keypad power was "out of sight, out of mind" and was very good at instructing me on how to use the system without "invading" my privacy with respect to passcodes, etc. And this after going to the Dentist in the AM to have preliminary work done for a crown!! Talk about dedication. Since I will be switching out my front and rear doors as part of my house renovation I'm expecting to contact this vendor to come and reset the sensors.

Install alarms or sensors, on windows and doors, five in total, also smoke/heat communicator. Have control panel that is very logical to operate and also have key pad. The initial service sales appointment was scheduled within one week of me contacting California Security Pro. The salesam showed up on time, was courteous and respectful, and did not try to oversell. I feel comfortable that I was advised to purchase what was appropriate for me and nothing more. Following the sale appointment, the installation was scheduled for about one week later. The installation technician showed up on time, was courteous and respectful, and completed the installation within around one hour. Everything went smoothly. He even threw in a couple of extra sensors (windows) than was expected. Since then, the alarm system has worked well. I signed-up for the "pulse" system which allows on-line control and monitoring off all alarm sensors and the control panel. The online website for this is very intuitive and clear. Overall, I am very satisfied with the service provided by California Security Pro and my subsequent experiences with the control website and ADT services. I would highly recommend California Security Pro and ADT to my friends.

I bought the deal from Angie's list for the installation at our new house. They were super fast to contact us for the consultation prior to installation. At first they get a quote for very few contacts for our windows but I called in and explain that there are lot more accessible windows than they reviewed. Lisa from ADT was great and she helped me to increase the points for our ground floor. They came in, in a week and install multiple contacts covering our entire ground floor with all accessible points. Overall they did a great job and they are really helpful to help out with all your questions and needs.

We met the local ADT person through our insurance agent who recommended him. Bill Wood did an excellent job of explaining the system and providing just the right amount of equipment for our needs. He was very knowledgeable and did not try to sell us anything more than we needed. The equipment was installed by a very efficient technician (Jesse) who was extremely professional and very helpful in going through the procedures required for using our security system. This company certainly knows what they are doing and for us they had the advantage of being people we could contact locally rather than dealing with the many irritating sales calls we had previously received from agents all over the country. After receiving estimates from 5 other security companies, we chose to go with California Security Pro for various reasons. Their presentation was the best of all and their price while not being the lowest overall was the lowest for a professionally installed system. I looked at self install options but none of the companies offered the security I required.
