We are midway through September and the fall season us upon the City of Los Angeles. The official first day of fall is September 22, 2014. If you haven't already made it out to the Los Angeles County Fair, now is the time! Remember the fair wraps up on September 28th. You still have a few more days to enjoy the festivities and of course some classic fair food! September 20, 2014 kicks off the 6th annual LA Brewers Beer Week, an event any beer enthusiast in the area might like to check out! September 20th will be the start of a weeks worth of events hosted by breweries throughout the City of Los Angeles. If do you decide to attend this event, please make sure you make arrangements to get home safe and sound! If a tasty meal is more up your alley, the Galbani Cheese Italian Feast of San Gennaro Los Angeles, which was founded by celebrities-Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Carolla 12 years ago, will take place on September 26-28 in Hollywood. Italian food from local eateries, live music and rides for the kids? Who could turn that down? Come out and experience Italian and Italian American culture at its finest!

September has arrived in Bakersfield, CA. It's that special time of year again, the Kern County Fair is only weeks a way, September 17-28. Be sure not to miss out on the carnival, ranch rodeo, great food and concerts this year. Bakersfield Country Club will host the Wounded Heroes' Golf Tournament at 12:00 PM on Saturday, September 13. If golf is not your forte, the 11th Festival of Wine and Cheese Fundraiser will be held on September 13 as well. The Padre Hotel will host A Pub Crawl Fundraiser for the Spay and Nueter Foundation on September 20 from 6-8:00PM. Donations are $25 for this event.
Fall is approaching the city of Anaheim, although you could never tell from the current temperatures. There is no shortage of local events to partake in this September, most of which are family friendly. Walking with the Dinosaurs, The Arena Spectacular will be held September 3-7 at the Honda Center! This production gives you a first hand experience of what it would have been like to take a walk with the dinosaurs, featuring life size re-creations and breathtaking realism. This experience surely will not disappoint and promises to be something you won't soon forget (check ticketmaster for tickets)! Also, don't miss out on the Fab Four (The Ultimate Tribute Band to the Beatles) at Anaheim's Pearson Park Amphitheater, a grand finale of the Summer Night Shows and Concert Series, 2014. This concert will begin at 8:00 P.M. on September 13. Family show tickets are only $3 per person and children under 8 years old are free! Towards the end of the month the neighboring City of Irvine will host the Global Village Festival at Bill Barber Park , September 27 10:00AM- 6:00 P.M. This is the 13th year of the Global Village Festival, which features multicultural food, live entertainment, crafts and activities for the kid, various exhibits and an international marketplace!

Summer is in full force as we welcome the month of August in Long Beach. With that being said, there are a ton of events to check out this month right here in Long Beach! Don't miss the Long Beach Jazz Festival, running August 9th through the 12th at Rainbow Lagoon Park. The line up is quite impressive this year including recording artists Tyrese, Lalah Hathaway, Al Jarreau and Ramsey Lewis. A little later in the month, August 22 through 24, we have the Long Beach BBQ Festival featuring the best BBQ in town, all you can eat and drink, as well as music and dancing. This is a family friendly event, so be sure to bring the kids, 12 and under are free!
As we approach the middle of August, we can feel summer coming to an end as our kids head back to school and the weather starts cooling down. As we prepare to welcome the month of August in Los Angeles, summer 2014 is kicking off to a wonderful start. There are a ton of local activities going on this month that you should definitely check out if your schedule permits! Who doesn't love food and movies? Saturday evenings throughout August catch Street Food Cinema usually held in Exposition Park. Grab some tickets to catch a movie in the park along with some savory street food and enjoy an outdoor picnic like no other. August 21-24 don't miss out on the 4th Annual Los Angeles Food and Wine Festival. If you are on a budget this month remember there are some excellent free concert options, Jazz at LACMA or the Twilight Concert line up at the Santa Monica Pier.
As we get into the month of August, we begin to realize that our kids are going back to school which ultimately means that summer is coming to an end. With the few warm and beautiful days we have left, let's enjoy them! San Jose is one of the most exciting cities to be in. Considering, it is the largest city in Northern California, fun activities, great food and diversity are certainly things this lively city doesn't lack.
