As we welcome September, summer in the City of Santa Ana is winding down. Still, there is no shortage of activities and events on the community calendar.
September 6, 2014 from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., come out to Plaza Santa Ana(at the corner of French and Fourth) and get fit! Events include a 5k run (starting at 8:00 A.M.), a Zumba competition, VIP basketball and a health fair. This is a health conscious and positive event that the entire family can enjoy. A little later in the month, September 13 and 14, 2014, Santa Ana will host the 36th Annual Fiestas Santa Ana. The street fair festivities will start at noon and the parade will be held on Sunday, September 14th at 4:00 P.M. This is another great FREE family event to attend this month! At then end of the month be sure not to miss Museum Day Live! Participating in this event on September 27th will grant you free entrance to two of the following participating venues: Casa Dolores, Elverhoj Museum of History and Art, Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara, Rancho La Patera & Stow House, Santa Barbara Botanic Garden, Santa Barbara Historical Museum, Santa Barbara Maritime Museum, Santa Barbara Museum of Art, Ty Warner Sea Center, and Wildling Museum. All are welcome to this indoor/outdoor cultural event and record participation is anticipated this year considering last year drew over 400,000 participants!
