The month of September is one of many, very exciting months to enjoy in San Francisco. As summer comes to a close, you definitely don't want to spend those precious days at home, understandably so. A little later in the month, August 22 through 24, we have the Long Beach BBQ Festival featuring the best BBQ in town, all you can eat and drink, as well as music and dancing. This is a family friendly event, so be sure to bring the kids, 12 and under are free!

As we approach the middle of August, we can feel summer coming to an end as our kids head back to school and the weather starts cooling down. But while it's still summer, let's see what Stockton's got in store for us! From August 22-31, 2014 it's the city-wide Stockton Beer Week, featuring locally owned breweries, bars, pubs and restaurants hosting beer tastings and beer dinners. It's a great time to be outdoors, spend quality time with friends and family and enjoy this near perfect weather! And always a friendly reminder, "please drink responsibly." Hold on... the fun doesn't stop there! In addition to the festivities of Stockton Beer Week, on August 23rd the Breadfruit Tree Restaurant will celebrate is 19th annual "Reggae on the Delta." With live salsa, cumbia, latin jazz and of course reggae music, you are sure to dance the night away! With all the events and entertainment, it's hard to stay at home and even harder to think about a potential burglary. As we prepare to welcome the month of August in Los Angeles, summer 2014 is kicking off to a wonderful start. Saturday evenings throughout August catch Street Food Cinema usually held in Exposition Park. Grab some tickets to catch a movie in the park along with some savory street food and enjoy an outdoor picnic like no other. August 21-24 don't miss out on the 4th Annual Los Angeles Food and Wine Festival.  If you are on a budget this month remember there are some excellent free concert options, Jazz at LACMA or the Twilight Concert line up at the Santa Monica Pier. 

As we get into the month of August, we begin to realize that our kids are going back to school which ultimately means that summer is coming to an end. With the few warm and beautiful days we have left, let's enjoy them! San Jose is one of the most exciting cities to be in. Considering, it is the largest city in Northern California, fun activities, great food and diversity are certainly things this lively city doesn't lack. Even though summer will soon be over, August is filled with tons of great events to enjoy in the heart of San Jose. From July 1, 2014 - August 20, 2014, Downtown San Jose will host its annual Starlight Cinemas- Free Summer Outdoor Movies event at various downtown locations. You can grab your kids, a blanket, snacks or even a meal and enjoy the warm summer nights watching 1980's classics. 

Whether you are enjoying the weather (or trying to escape it) , there is no doubt that another sizzling summer has arrived in the "Southern Gateway"  to the Central Valley, more formally know as the City of Bakersfield, California. While August is upon us, we still have several annual summer events to look forward to, from the Tehachapi Mountain Festival to the B-Town Blues Festival and the Kern County Fair. 

The metropolitan city of Anaheim, along with its thriving industrial center and bustling tourist destinations, boasts not only big business, but the largest population in Orange County. Anaheim residents enjoy a dynamic and diverse community spanning from Cypress to the Riverside County Line. With attractions like the Platinum Triangle, the Disneyland Resorts and the Angel's Stadium, this summer in Anaheim is sure to be a memorable one, whether you stay close to home or do some traveling.

The 90 degree temperatures are a stark indicator that summer has arrived in the City of Santa Ana. Needless to say, as the county seat and the second most populous city in Orange County, Santa Ana has a lot to offer local residents. From the the beautiful local parks, historic Artistic Village and Civic Center to the Santa Ana Zoo, one could easily fill their summer days taking in the City of Santa Ana. 

Oakland is a great place to be during the summertime; There is always something to do! On the weekend of August 2nd and August 3rd, downtown Oakland will be the place to be for the Art & Soul Festival. It's a fun and family friendly event, where many local artists will perform and even national recording artists. There will also be many artisan booths and delicious food from all around the world. Kids will equally enjoy this outdoor event with lots of carnival rides, bouncers, face painting and much more!
