It's winter time and February in beautiful San Francisco. A time that you can be surprised by showers of rain at a moment's notice. No wonder some are escaping it all and heading over to Scottsdale, AZ where our very own San Francisco Giants have Spring Training. The first pitchers and catchers practice is on February 19th. You don't want to miss the Spring Training that could lead to their fourth World Series Championship in 6 years.
Before you head out, Valentine's Day is upon us. If you haven't made your special Valentine's Day plans, there's no time to waste. You can score big points with any of these locations all year long, but they have some special tricks up their sleeves for this weekend. Impress your sweetheart at the Top of the Mark rooftop bar. Known for their signature martinis and magnificent views of San Francisco, it is a sure hit. Or check out the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History for their creative mix of drinks, live music, science and culture called Night Owl.
Starting tomorrow February 13–15, you can treat yourself and someone special to a romantic Valentine’s date night at the San Francisco Symphony. Snuggle up in a Side Box or Loge seats and sip La Marca Prosecco, chocolate covered strawberries and truffles while enjoying one of three special concerts. Finally, my personal favorite; bring your sweetie on one of Gourmet Walks’ Valentine's Cupcake & Chocolate Tours. There's extra tours for Valentine's Day weekend, featuring three gourmet cupcake stops and five chocolate tasting stops. Generous tastings will leave couples on a romantic chocolate high.
As any San Francisco native knows, the cold weather doesn't slow you down. you don your winter coats and keep the blood pulsing through this city's veins. While you are warming up the town, burglars are out in full force. Protect your San Francisco home with an ADT Home Security System. While most of the state experienced a drop in crime, "The city saw more than 20% jumps in both the rate of property crime, such as thefts and burglary, and the rate of violent crime, such as robbery and assault." According to elected public defender, Jeff Adachi. "The rate of larceny and thefts per 100,000 inhabitants jumped 27%. Burglary rates rose 10%... the rate of reported rapes rose by 47%; aggravated assaults, 23%; and robberies, 18%." San Francisco Crime rates like these suggest that the time to invest in an ADT San Francisco home security system is now.
ADT Pulse Security Systems- Popular Choice of San Francisco Residents and Businesses
There's a reason that almost 70% of you choose ADT Pulse Security Systems. With some of the most beautiful parks and stunning coastline around, everyone is busy enjoying life in the city. Whether you are paddle boating in Golden Gate Park, discovering caves at Ocean Beach or feeling like you have died and gone to Heaven in San Francisco's food scene, you are not sitting at home or hanging around after work to make sure things are safe. An ADT Pulse system can keep an eye on things while you live your life. A Pulse system can be controlled with multiple devices from anywhere.
ADT mobile apps allow you to remotely verify that your system is armed, and arm it if it's not. Integrated cameras let you see that things are okay, and automated text and email alerts notify you immediately when there's a problem. Alerts also provide peace of mind by monitoring events such as the kids arriving home, the dog walker coming or motion in the back alley. Alerts keep you in the know while you are on the go.
ADT Pulse is automation and security in one system that is simple to use. According to the FBI's recently released crime statistics for U.S. cities, violent crime in San Francisco jumped 20 percent between 2012 and 2013, the latest statistics available. Several sources credit the raise in crime to the large disparity in social status, with 35% of the city's households making over $350,000 a year and 23% of households living below the poverty level. Another possible cause is the amount of technology around. One might equate walking with your nose stuck in a smart phone to walking around staring at several $100 bills in your hand. Whatever the combination of causes, an investment in a home security can be worth it's weight in gold for your peace of mind.
